Sign up for the Surrey Jazz Nights Jam Session on Saturday, October 17th from 4:00 – 6:00PM at the Surrey Nature Centre.
Nicholas Wise is a Surrey-based jazz saxophonist and educator who values safe spaces like Surrey Jazz Nights to learn, build community, and have fun playing and listening to music in an environment where it is okay to make a few mistakes. He encourages local jazz musicians and youth to show up even if they do not quite feel ready to play themselves.
The jam session is meant to create a fun, safe and supportive environment for young musicians to jam and meet other musicians in the community. There will be jam books and jam hosts to ensure everyone has a positive experience. We will also have a full drum kit, vocal amp and mic, bass amp, guitar amp, and keyboard.
